Announcement: Special Issue on Emerging Technologies for Next-Generation Wireless Communication Networks

Aims and Scope:

Wireless communication technologies represent a rapidly emerging area in providing ubiquitous access for all end users. Due to the exponential growth of data traffic, new technologies have been proposed and developed to satisfy key requirements for next-generation wireless communication networks such as high data rate/throughput, ultra-reliability, low latency, energy efficiency and security.

The aim of this special issue is to collect literature reflecting the most recent research related to next-generation wireless communication technologies, as well as to provide fast publishing of high-quality original research papers.

Topics of Interest:

The special issue aims to cover topics that include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access, MIMO & massive MIMO, full-duplex Systems
  • Ultra-reliable short-packet communications, mm-wave communication, V2X and D2D communication
  • Energy harvesting technologies
  • Wireless security and channel coding technologies
  • IoT and visible light communication systems 

Coherent list of topics:

Papers must be tailored to the emerging fields of wireless communication networks. The guest editors maintain the right to reject papers they deem to be out of scope of this special issue. Only originally unpublished contributions and invited articles will be considered for this special issue.
